Biography

Katie Truskoski graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BA in Studio Art, focused on relief printing in May 2003. Her linoleum and wood block prints concentrate on sociopolitical issues that can incorporate text to create print essays. She completed her second degree in Art History in December, 2006 and currently teaches art and yoga to adults with disabilities. She considers her greatest artistic influences to be Kathe Kollwitz, Shirin Neshat and Barbara Kruger. Katie works out of her studio in Providence, RI, where she has lived since 2001.


Katie also teaches Hatha Yoga classes as a certified, 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. Please contact her for more information regarding private or group classes.
