teaches art to adults with disabilities. She considers her greatest
artistic influences to be Kathe Kollwitz, Shirin Neshat and Barbara
Kruger. Katie works out of her studio in Providence, RI, where she has
lived since 2001.
Katie has also been a student of both Yoga and Zen Buddhism for many years.
She was recently able to deepen her practice by completing an
intensive yoga teacher
certification training through the Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja, Mexico.
She enhances her classes by utilizing pranayama and meditative
techniques, and finds that sharing the teachings of yoga on and off
the mat greatly enriches her life. She is a 200 hour Registered Yoga
Teacher with the Yoga Alliance and her certification is in Hatha Yoga,
specializing in Iyengar alignment. Please
